Pet Surgery

All surgeries performed in our clinic are attended by a veterinarian and a technician. Technicians observe closely and care for the recovering patient in our post-surgical area.

Pet Surgeries

We use Isoflurane gas anesthesia in addition to injectable agents. Patients are monitored with a Pulse Oximeter and blood pressure monitor.

Pet Spay and Neuter

Spaying or neutering your pet can help your pet live a longer, healthier life and, in some cases, minimize behavioral problems. The decision on the best time to spay or neuter is an important conversation to have with the veterinarian.

Importance
One very important reason to spay or neuter your pet is to help slow down the trend of dogs and cats that do not have homes due to overpopulation. The health benefits of spaying your pet include removing their risk for developing pyometra (infection in the uterus) and lowering their risk for mammary cancer. The health benefits of neutering your pet include preventing diseases such as prostate disease and testicular cancer.

Pre-anesthetic blood work is offered at our clinic and recommended with every surgical procedure to evaluate for any concurrent diseases that may need to be more thoroughly investigated or treated before pursuing anesthesia. Like you, our greatest concern is your pet’s well-being and safety.

Pet Soft Tissue Surgery

We perform a variety of soft tissue surgeries at our clinic. Depending on the issue, these surgeries can have many benefits for your pet.

The most common soft tissue surgery that we perform is mass removals. Once removed, we recommend sending off the mass to find out if the mass is benign or something more serious. Early removal and accurate diagnosis are very helpful in getting a better prognosis in cancerous masses.

We also remove bladder stones, repair lacerations, and perform other soft tissue surgeries on a case-by-case basis.
